THE THERMALIST METHOD®
Join Rose for the Thermalist® Method Workshop, a science-backed contrast therapy experience that combines cold and heat exposure with guided breathwork and mindfulness.

"I booked the contrast therapy evening for me and my partner as we both regularly use saunas and cold plunges. The knowledge and insight we gained from Rose was exceptional, and no question on techniques and the science behind it was left unanswered."

Guided by Rose, you’ll learn how to stress up to stress down, gradually activating and calming your nervous system. Through a combination of cold exposure, heat therapy, breathwork, and meditation, you’ll build resilience without burnout while gaining tools to better manage stress and enhance your overall well-being.
SOME MYTHS TO BUST:
Can women cold plunge safely & benefit? Yes! Women get all the same benefits as men from cold water immersion, but we must factor in the menstrual cycle and menopause when selecting the most suitable protocol.
Is icy water better than 14 degrees? Nope.
Are breath holds are a good idea in cold water? No! This increases the risk of fainting in the water.
When you start sweating it's time to leave the sauna? No, stay in and enjoy the detox. Your sign to leave is when you feel too hot or light-headed.

The Thermalist Method® isn’t just another wellness trend. It’s a method rooted in over a decade of scientific research by author and scientist, Dr. Susanna Søberg, PhD in metabolism.

By the end of a Thermalist Method® Workshop, clients don’t just feel refreshed—they feel completely transformed. They leave in a state of biochemical harmony: dopamine up, cortisol down, a balanced nervous system, and a deeper awareness of their own biology.

FAQS
Where do I park?
Park in the pay & display car park at Egypt Mill then walk to the house, which will take 3 or 4 minutes.
What should I eat and drink before a workshop?
Have a light breakfast, avoid coming with a full tummy and avoid over caffeinating - one tea or coffee that morning is fine.

I'm totally new to cold plunging and contrast therapy, so I feel nervous - is this for me?
Yes absolutely. I will gently guide and support you through the workshop. Total immersion in a cold plunge tub isn't necessary, your goal could be dipping to waist depth and by the third dip you might choose to go a little deeper in the water. I would be happy to have a 10 minute call before the event too, if that helps allay any concerns.

I have good experience of cold water immersion and/or contrast therapy - is this event for me?
Yes, absolutely. You will learn the in-depth science behind cold and heat therapy, and the precise application of contrast therapy to support your personal goals, which could be to support muscle recovery, or to improve mental health, or to improve insulin sensitivity or suchlike.
