"The contrast therapy experience was totally exhilarating, and gave me relaxation that I've never felt before."
"Thank you so much for yesterday, it was incredible! I spent the whole evening googling about it to find a location where I can do contrast therapy more often!! I slept like a log for the first time since my little one was born!
What Is Contrast Therapy?
It is alternating between hot and cold to reduce inflammation and trigger a cascade of profound health benefits. You can use any form of heat and cold, but most of the studies are done using cold water immersion and dry Finnish sauna - a highly effective combination.
Contrast therapy boosts your metabolism, whilst simultaneously pressing 'Ctrl Alt Delete' for your nervous system - feel calmer, feel happier, cope better with modern life and enjoy having more energy.
Contrast therapy is a form of hormetic stress. Regular micro-doses of healthy stress creates adaptive changes in the body, making it more resilient and robust. This is where the immune boost comes in.
"My personal challenge was that I hate feeling cold, but after the first set of cold water immersion I was surprised how good it felt both during and after the immersion. I slept 12 hours solid afterwards, and woke feeling more refreshed than I have for months."

CONTRAST THERAPY FAQS
Where do I park?
Park in the pay & display car park at Egypt Mill then walk to the house, which will take 3 or 4 minutes.
What should I eat and drink before a workshop?
Have a meal 2-3 hours before or a snack an hour before, to avoid coming with a full tummy.
Can I drink coffee before coming?
Yes of course, Rose couldn't live without a good coffee each morning! Just avoid over caffeinating before the event - 3-4 coffees+ would be too much, but 1 or 2 is absolutely fine.
I’m curious but anxious - will anyone judge me if I go slowly?
Not at all. You’ll always be supported and guided at your pace. Many people start with just a tiny dip and that’s absolutely OK.
What if I get cold quickly and want to stop?
That’s fine. Rose encourages you to listen to your body. Your comfort is part of the process, and Rose will help you find your rhythm.
I'm feeling body conscious. Do I have to wear a bikini , swimming costume or swimming trunks?
Throw a clean lightweight sports top and/or sports shorts over your swimwear if this makes you feel more comfortable - plenty of people do.
Is there an upper or lower age limit?
Rose works with teenagers 14+ with a parent's consent. There is no upper limit - it comes down to individual health. The most mature client of Rose's is aged 72, and she loves cold immersion in the British sea and the ice bath!
I have good experience of cold water immersion and/or contrast therapy - is this event for me?
Yes, absolutely. You will learn the in-depth science and the precise application of contrast therapy to support your personal goals, whether that be: muscle recovery, better mental health, improved insulin sensitivity, pain relief or better sleep.
